Success Leaves Clues

In today’s day and age, we don’t have to re-invent the wheel when it comes to success. Although the specifics vary for every person, the underlying principles are the same. I’ve heard it said that “Methods are many, principles are few. Methods may change but principles never do.” Meaning the method to success, the path, the product, the exact steps. All may change but the principles never do. Principles of having a goal, writing it down, creating a plan of action to reach the goal, and changing your approaching continuously to stay on track. We can follow the examples of others and model what they did. Success leaves clues. Let’s consider that…

One of the great things about living in today’s world of abundance and opportunity is that almost everything you want to do has already been done by someone else. Someone has already done it and left clues in the form of books, manuals, audio and video programs, classes, online courses, seminars, workshops, etc…

WHO’S ALREADY DONE WHAT YOU WANT TO DO?

For virtually everything you want to do, there are books and courses on how to do it. Better yet, just a phone call away are people who’ve already successfully done what you want to do and who are available as teachers, mentors, advisors, coaches, and consultants.

When we take advantage of these types of information, we discover that life is simply a connect-the-dots-game, and all the dots have already been identified and organized by somebody else. All we have to do is follow the blueprint, use the system, or work the program that they provide.

3 WAYS TO SEEK OUT CLUES

  1. Seek out a teacher, coach, mentor; a manual, book, or audio program; or an internet resource to help you achieve one of your major goals.
  2. Seek out someone who has already done what you want to do, and ask the person if you can interview him or her for a half hour on how you should best proceed.
  3. Ask someone if you can shadow them for a day and watch them work. Or offer to be a volunteer, assistant, or intern for someone you think you can learn from.

We are not left alone to figure out the process of attaining wealth or abundance. We can succeed in business and in life. Let us do it by riding on the coattails of those that went before us. If we model what they’ve done backed by our “Why” we’re doing it and have a big enough dream, we can accomplish anything.
