Progressive Realization

Success is the progressive realization of a worthy idea(s) or goal(s). So the very meaning of “progressive” is to grow and develop in a continuous and forward or onward movement. It happens over a course of time.

The Tortoise And The Hare

We know the story of the tortoise and the hare. The tortoise goes on to win the race, not because he was faster. Of course it helped that the hare got cocky but the reason the tortoise won is because he was slow and steady. The key word here being “steady”. It’s the steady, daily, consistent actions that lead to success, compounded over time bringing outstanding results. So the object is to take consistent steps forward, progressing everyday.

Microwave Mentality

Today we live in a “microwave mentality, hot and now” society. When a farmer plants his crops, there is a specific process that he/she takes. First they have to till the ground, plant the seeds, continuously water and cultivate, then comes the harvest. We so often want to go from planting to harvesting but we’re forgetting about one of the most important parts. The cultivation process. It’s through the cultivation after the planting that leads to the harvest and that is no different when it comes to success.

Success Is Easy

The law of the two easy’s. Success is easy. Easy meaning it’s something that we can have, something we can obtain, something we can do. The thing about success being easy is totally true. The problem is that whatever is easy to do, is also easy not to do. The philosophy of success being easy has to be backed up with daily, consistent actions towards that endeavor.

Be Better

So, wrapping our mind around this idea that success is easy, let’s dig into that a little further. We don’t start out with the mindset that success is easy. We have to develop the belief. We have to “Think and Grow Rich” like the book title by Napoleon Hill says. We change our Philosophy, which changes our thoughts, which changes our actions, which changes our results, which ultimately changes our destiny.

I’d like to close with this quote from Jim Rohn. “Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better”. And that my friends starts with your Philosophy and the understanding that your success is going to be a “Progressive Realization”.
